ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

We are responsible.

We seek to contribute to the establishment of an ethical textile supply chain

A FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLE OF RESPONSIBILITY

In a resource-intensive industry, environmental sustainability is not an option — it is an essential condition. At Jersey Lomellina, we provide clear information on the origin of yarns and fabrics, to help make each production step fully verifiable.

A SECTOR THAT CALLS FOR CONCRETE ACTION

Today, the textile industry is recognised as one of the sectors with the greatest environmental impact, from fibre cultivation and production to the manufacture of finished garments. This is something that can no longer be ignored. From companies to consumers, from policymakers to stakeholders, every actor involved is called upon to play their part in building more responsible processes.

At Jersey Lomellina, we consider environmental sustainability a tangible value and act on it in practice, starting from product design. It is a daily commitment that guides our technological, operational and strategic choices.

WE GUIDE THE SUPPLY CHAIN TOWARDS CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Our commitment begins with the adoption of an advanced production model, built on process efficiency, the use of renewable energy sources, and careful resource management.

Through continuous investment in research and machinery, we can identify potential defects at an early stage and to reduce waste throughout the production process, ensuring our solutions offer maximum durability.

At JL, every technical fabric springs from the meticulous selection of raw materials and a rigorous quality control process, carried out using advanced technologies and sophisticated monitoring tools to ensure every single metre is carefully checked before delivery.

RAW MATERIALS COME FIRST

The use of regenerated and certified yarns reinforces our commitment to operate beyond the logic of fast fashion, creating value throughout the entire production chain.

This vision has been guiding us since 2012. At a time when sustainability was not yet a mainstream topic, we launched Renew Prime, the first circular-knit stretch fabric made with 65% polyamide derived entirely from pre- and post-consumer waste.

Over the years, this choice has driven the evolution of our collection, which has been further expanded with the introduction of new fabrics made from recycled polyester sourced from PET plastic waste.

The result is a sustainable, broad and diversified offering, designed to meet market needs across swimwear, athleisure, sportswear, underwear and ready-to-wear. An approach that makes no compromises on quality: Renew fabrics, made from regenerated and certified fibres, deliver the same standards of quality, performance and durability as those produced from virgin fibres.
