The Group

Gruppo Carvico was established in 1962 by Giuseppe Colnaghi who has had a great intuition about the future of warp-knitted fabrics made of continuous man-made fibers and has later transformed his company to one of the largest Italian companies in the textile industry.

Jersey Lomellina SpA joined the Group in 1977, when Mr Colnaghi decided to extend his product range introducing elasticized circular knitted fabrics.
 
A few years later after its foundation, Gruppo Carvico became a pioneer in warp-knitted fabrics, circulating in Italy and a specialist in the production of elastic fabrics for swimwear, underclothes, sportswear and outwear.

From the beginning, Gruppo Carvico has shown strong inclination with innovation, directed towards developing state-of-the-art technologies and in pursuit of new and winning fields of application for the company's textile products.

One of the characteristics that is common among the companies of the Group (Jersey Lomellina SpA, Carvico SpA e Eurojersey SpA) and that prevails until now is the drive to innovate – the very factor that distinguishes them from the rest throughout the years and has brought them to the top-level position in the industry, together with their solutions that are capable of satisfying and often anticipating the needs of the market and the clients of the Group and of course with the help of the products and services that enhance the clothing at its best whether it is for swimming, sports or free time.

Gruppo Carvico is founded on key principles that are applied to their daily activities. Some of these are: the experimentation of new textile techniques, the quality of a "Made in Italy" job, the collaboration among highly qualified staff, the respect for the environment and the commercial presence and sales network all over the world.

For more than 40 years of business, the companies of the Group have been capable of providing for the needs of their clients, by offering them at all times, state-of-the-art and most prized fabrics in the field of swimwear, underclothes, sportswear and outerwear apparel. Some of the most recent ones are “Wonder” of Jersey Lomellina, “Revolutional®” a Carvico brand and the newly famous “Sensitive®” product by Eurojersey.
