Defines the arrangement of the yarns in the fabric (fabric construction).
Orientation of the piece length or of the yarn.
Knits are arranged in a vertical row. The fabric will take shape when several yarns, which follow the same processing, are knitted together. In this case it is not possible to un-knit the fabric.
Orientation of the width of the fabric (from selvage to selvage) or of the yarn.
